Your ERP stays. That is the design, not a concession.
Your ERP keeps the books; SaleShade records the selling and the godown. The double-work fear, answered honestly — and the connector in development.
The question behind every software conversation you have had
Somewhere in every pitch you have ever heard came the moment: "and then you migrate everything to us." Your books, your GST, your accountant's fifteen years of habit — onto somebody's new system, on faith. It is the moment most owners rightly walk away.
So let this page open with the answer instead of building to it: you do not replace your ERP. Not now, not later. SaleShade is built on the assumption that Tally — or Busy, or Marg — is already doing its job well.
Two systems, two different halves of the truth
Your ERP records documents: the invoice, the challan, the stock quantities, the ledgers.
That is the financial truth of the business, and it belongs exactly where it is.
SaleShade records events: the walk-in, the estimate with images, the follow-up made, the material allotted, the box packed, the vehicle gone, the delivery signed. That is the operational truth — and no ERP was ever built to hold it.
Documents describe what was supposed to happen. Events record what did.
Records the selling.
The walk-in — who came in, what he asked for
The estimate — what was quoted, and against which products
The follow-up — every call, in order, with who made it
The loss — and the reason it was lost
Records the work.
The order — what was confirmed, line by line
The picking — what came off the shelf, with images
The dispatch — what left, when, and on whose vehicle
The installation — what was fitted, and what came back
Your ERP
Records the documents. Nothing here moves.
The invoice — and the GST behind it
The ledger — every account, every payment
Stock valuation — what the books say you hold
The audited truth — which is what an ERP is for
A business needs both halves, and they do not compete, because they never held the same fact twice.
"So I will be doing double work" — answered honestly
Every owner asks this, and it deserves a straight answer rather than a wave of the hand.
The division above means each fact lives in one place — the estimate is never in Tally, the ledger is never in SaleShade.
Where the two sides must agree, they meet at reference numbers: the invoice number recorded against the order, the credit or debit note number that settles a receipt discrepancy.
A handful of numbers, entered at defined moments — that is the overlap in full.
It is minutes of linking, not a parallel bookkeeping job, and each number you enter is precisely what makes a dispute answerable later.
The connector, stated carefully
A SaleShade Connector is in development — built to import your products and customers from your ERP, keep them in sync, push confirmed orders across as optional vouchers for your accountant's review, and carry the voucher numbers back automatically.
TallyPrime first; other major Indian ERPs planned.
It is described here in the plainest tense possible because it is not live yet, and this website does not sell futures. What it will remove is the linking work described above.
What it will never do is move your books.
Cooperative by conviction, not by marketing
The ERPs themselves expect this arrangement — their own integration features exist because they know a business runs more than accounts. SaleShade extends the same courtesy in the other direction: every page on this site that mentions your ERP — mentions it staying.
Bring your accountant to the demo — he will ask the hardest questions, and they all have this page's answer.
