Not every quotation should look the same
Eight estimate designs, from a plain rate sheet to a full image-led document. Your logo, your colour, print-ready. Choose per quotation, not once.
A contractor and a homeowner want different documents
Wants a rate, a quantity, a total — he knows what a soft-close hinge looks like
Photographs slow him down — he is ordering, not choosing
Wants to see what he is buying — the finish, the handle, the profile
Cannot picture it from a code — and he is deciding at home, three days later
Sending both of them the same document does one of them a disservice. Most software gives you one template and leaves you to it.
Eight designs, grouped by what they are for
Plain and quick. A clean rate sheet.
Item, quantity, rate, amount, total. For repeat customers and trade buyers who want the number and nothing else.
Image-led
A photograph on every line, laid out so the products carry the page. For a customer who is deciding at home from what he can see.
Formal
For quotations that will be filed, forwarded to a partner, or presented to somebody who was not in your showroom. More structure, more white space, and a document that looks considered.
Compact
For long estimates where forty lines would otherwise run to six pages. Tighter rows, smaller margins, the same information in half the paper.
Within those four kinds there are eight designs to choose from.
What appears on all of them
Line items with MRP and your net rate, quantity and amount.
Product images and live web or video links wherever you want them. Totals, an optional discount, tax, and the amount in words.
Warranty and your own terms at the foot.
Your logo and your accent colour throughout, so what arrives on your customer's phone belongs to your business.
Chosen per quotation, not once for the business
The design is the last thing your salesman picks before saving.
Set your usual choice as the default and it is one tap.
Change it when the job calls for something else — the contractor gets the plain one on Tuesday, the homeowner gets the image-led one on Wednesday, and nobody had to configure anything in between.
You can look through all eight before you decide, and before you buy.
